These sugar-free oatmeal yogurt cookies are delicious and nutritious. They are also very affordable and easy to make. So there’s no excuse not to try them!

Biscuits are a classic. Some are sweet, others are simple. You just have to have them at home. They are a perfect afternoon snack with a cup of coffee or tea or to spice up your breakfast.

However, the recipes we are going to share here contain no sugar or artificial sweeteners, which means that this is probably a different kind of cookie than you are normally used to.

That’s why we decided to share two recipes: one that contains no sugar and one that contains honey. If you want to add something sweet to your cookies, you can add honey as a sweetener. But you can also replace sugar with extracts such as vanilla.

However, both recipes are nutritious, as they are made from oats and yogurt, which are healthy choices. Try them out!

Sugar-free oatmeal yogurt cookies

Recipe for sugar-free oatmeal yogurt cookies

Ingredients

  • 200 gr. oat flakes
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 45 gr. yogurt (thick)
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ground cinnamon

Preparation

  • First preheat the oven to 180 C
  • Then put the eggs with the vanilla in a bowl and beat with a whisk. Then gradually add the yogurt while continuing to stir. First make sure that you have drained the yogurt well so that it is thick.
  • Then add the olive oil and salt and keep mixing.
  • Finally, add the oats and cinnamon and stir well. It should eventually become a slightly runny dough. However, you should still be able to shape it.
  • Now grease a baking tray and make cookie shapes from the dough. Since it is slightly runny, you will need to use a spoon to scoop up the dough and then shape the cookies with your hands or the spoon.
  • Finally, place the baking sheet in the oven and bake the cookies for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
  • Then take them out of the oven, let them cool and…. enjoy it!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 cup oat flakes
  • 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 5 tablespoons of honey

Preparation

  • First preheat the oven to 200 C.
  • Then put the butter (at room temperature) and the honey in a bowl and beat everything until well blended.
  • Then add the oats, oatmeal and baking powder and keep mixing. If you want you can add cinnamon to give more flavor to your cookies.
  • Then add the cup of yogurt and the eggs. Mix well until you get a smooth dough.
  • Then grease a baking tray and make cookie shapes from the dough. Place them on the baking sheet in such a way that they do not overlap.
  • When you have finished forming all your cookies, place the baking tray in the oven and bake them at 200ºC for about 20 minutes.
  • Then take them out of the oven, let them cool and…. enjoy it!

Some extras for your sugar-free oatmeal yogurt cookies

  • You can add chia seeds or other seeds to either recipe. In addition, you can also add chopped nuts or even raisins, especially to the second recipe.
  • Keep in mind that these cookies will not rise much in the oven. Therefore, the thinner you make them, the crispier they will be.
  • While we recommend using natural yogurt , you can also opt for flavored yogurt to make even tastier cookies.
  • If you prefer, you can also make the cookies much larger, to make them into pancakes. This way you can add whatever you want (jam, cheese, etc.). So you can enjoy it in many different ways.
